‘Blanes’ is a town and municipality in the comarca of Selva in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is known for its coast, which is part of the ‘Costa Brava’ and stretches from ‘Blanes’ up to the French border.
The beaches in the ‘Costa Brava’ are unique. Its waters are crystalline and the sights are beautiful. In the water we can see fishes and sea creatures, which are amazing. It is a different beach that you should totally visit – if you have time. We recommend this beach and each one from the ‘Costa Brava’!
Curious fact: During the 21st and the 27th of July there is a firework display (in Blanes) known as ‘Concurs de Focs d’Artifici’, which attracts more than 500,000 visitors. This is an international competition in which various countries from around the world participate. Over 500,000 kg of fireworks are used at each event. Most people watch the fireworks from the beach.
